Multiple openings for the role of “Senior Associate, Markit EDM Developer,” to join and work on the IT team at Arrowstreet Capital, Limited Partnership (“Arrowstreet”), headquartered at 200 Clarendon Street, 30th Floor, Boston, MA 02116. This would also be the main location out of which these roles will be based. Positions also are permanent, immediately available, job opportunities that do not require any travel.

Telecommuting benefit (i.e., work from home) available. For these positions, telecommuting can span all but ten workdays per fiscal quarter. Note that although telecommuting is currently permissible, one may only telecommute and work remotely from home in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont (due to various regulations and policies); therefore, such resources must live in one of those five states. Must, again, work at least ten days per quarter from within, and as required to be at, Arrowstreet’s Boston office (address given above), with remote work allowable from one of the aforementioned specific states the remainder of the time. Positions of “Senior Associate, Markit EDM Developer” are not supervisory roles, and therefore, do not directly supervise or manage subordinate, direct reports. Positions are hands-on, individual contributor roles responsible for software development and operational support of the EDM system

These positions are part of the IT team at Arrowstreet, and are responsible for developing and maintaining the proprietary software used by Arrowstreet’s investment professionals in the Core Investment Systems Group. Within the Core Investment Systems Group, these positions are tasked with supporting, developing, and enhancing the software applications, as well as contributing to the creation and build of the next evolution of the Data Engineering Platform.

Traditional job description reflects duties performed as follows: software development and operational support of the Enterprise Data Management (“EDM”) system; create scalable and secure solutions with superior technical performance that adhere to industry best practices; new system development and enhancement/maintenance of existing systems; optimize Markit EDM solutions for performance, throughput, troubleshooting, and debugging; develop and document test plans for unit testing and integration testing; develop solutions with Markit EDM and T-SQL.

Positions require a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in computer science or related technological discipline ((to include computer applications, information technology, information science, information security or assurance, information management, computational management, or management or computer information systems); engineering (to include financial, computer, electronics, electrical, mechanical, or communication engineering, or engineering management); or a related field. Also required are three years of the following progressive, post-baccalaureate experience: (a) working with all aspects of software development and operational support of enterprise data management system; (b) creating scalable and secure solutions using enterprise data management system (c) designing and developing applications on enterprise data management system. including tool specific User Interface; (d) designing and implementing software solutions utilizing complex investment ideas; (e) engaging in database technologies and architecture design; (f) automated testing concepts and application; (g) building complex systems using one of the following programming languages, to wit: C#; or, Python; and, (h) applying continuous-integration and continuous-delivery (CI/CD) methodologies, specifically using one of the following platforms: (i) Jenkins; or (ii)  Gitlab, or (iii)  Github.
