Responsibilities: Master level technician responsible for cutting, bending, engraving, and assembling components utilizing CNC and manual equipment including waterjets, laser cutters, press brakes, engravers, surface finishers, milling machines, hand brakes, drill presses, tapping equipment, etc. All mentioned processes must be performed to strict accuracy and precision. Materials include but not limited to aluminum, steel stainless steel, brass, plastic, and composites. Lead a team of junior artisans. Operate and read calipers and other measuring devises. Read and execute from engineered drawings and solid models.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of a technical school, trade school or advanced technical school curriculum or course of training in mechanics or engineering technology; or completion of at least twenty-four (24) semester hours of course of studies at an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific or technical curriculum.
Experience: Five (5) years of experience in performing the foregoing functions with two (2) years experience developing mechanical devices for installation aboard ship, on aircraft or at shore stations. Experience in Solidworks and CADMAN is a plus.
Other: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
