Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities for this position include writing, modifying, testing and installing computer programs for small to medium-sized projects with a focus on reporting. This includes the development and management of processes for preparing and delivering data to various internal and external customers, including Insurance Departments, statistical reporting agencies, business partners and vendors. Other responsibilities include project estimation, proper use of standards and processes, and occasional oncall responsibilities.
Qualifications
A four-year degree plus a minimum of one year of application development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Previous experience should include application development, preferably in an Oracle client-server environment utilizing queries and stored procedures, along with a demonstrated ability to handle small to medium-sized application development projects. Experience writing reports and tuning SQL is preferred, but not required. Other required qualifications include excellent oral and written communication skills along with logical, analytical and abstract thinking qualities.
