Operating as a regional airline in the United States, Air Wisconsin Airlines performs flying services as a partner with United Airlines. Currently operating a fleet of CRJ-200 regional jets as United Express, Air Wisconsin Airlines operates throughout the Eastern and Central United States. Air Wisconsin`s team is dedicated to making our travelers experiences safe and pleasant.

The Corporate SMS Safety Risk Managers responsibilities include management and technical systems administration of the Corporate Integrated Safety, Risk and Quality Assurance Management Program, Corporate Safety Risk Analysis Program and Corporate Safety Risk Management Program as required by the Corporate Safety Management System (CSMS).

Essential Job Functions
  • Promote and foster a safe and secure operating environment.

Corporate Integrated Safety, Risk and Quality Assurance Management System:
  • Primary Technical System Manager and Subject Matter Expert responsible to manage all aspects of the Corporate Integrated Safety, Risk and Quality Assurance Management System.
  • Ensures that all data, reports, and records are maintained as required.
  • Ensures that all safety information maintained is factually correct and statistically sound.
  • Creates and maintains all required documentation detailing administration process of the Q-Pulse system.

Corporate Safety Risk Analysis Program:
  • Manage the technical design, development, deployment and continuous improvement of consolidated information and data platform for all Safety Assurance inputs as required by the CSMS.
  • Manage the technical design, development, deployment and continuous improvement of the Safety Data Reporting System including creation of Safety Performance Indicators (SPI), dashboards, reports and investigation processes required by the CSMS.
  • Daily and weekly processing of all Operational Event Reporting Program reports received within the SMS Integrated Management System.
  • Assist with the development of initial and continuous improvement of safety performance metrics and safety goals as required by the SMS.
  • Daily technical support of SMS Dashboard.
  • Ensure proper disposition of all safety documents, reports, records, analysis and correspondence.
  • Create and maintain SMS-required documentation of safety data collection, analysis, and dissemination processes.
  • Ensure that all safety information generated is factually correct, statistically sound and appropriately secured.

Corporate Safety Risk Management Program:
  • Lead, required Safety Risk Management Team (SRMT) meetings.
  • Schedule and coordinate required SRMT meetings.
  • Manage all risk assessment meeting presentations and hand-outs.
  • Manage all risk assessment meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Monitor and ensure all risk assessment outputs including corrective actions, recommendations and escalations are completed within the required timeframe.
  • Maintain a comprehensive corporate hazard and risk registry.
  • Monitor and ensure processes and procedures required by the CSMS are completed as required.
  • Ensure that all safety risk information generated is factually correct, statistically sound and appropriately secured.
  • Maintains all required documentation detailing the administration process of the Corporate Safety Risk Management System.

Safety and Security Investigation:
  • Manage Safety and Security Investigations as directed by the Vice President of Safety and Security and/or Director of Corporate Safety.
  • Manage required factual data collection, analysis, reporting and documentation processes.
  • Schedule, coordinate, facilitate and document SMS Investigation interviews.
  • Schedule, coordinate, facilitate and document Learning Team activities.

Additional Duties:
  • Primary Administrator of the Corporate Safety Department SharePoint public portal page content.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Attendance is considered an essential responsibility.
  • Adherence to Company policies and procedures.
  • Frequent telephone, personal and written contact with internal and external customers.
  • On-call status as required to support job duties.
  • Emergency Response Team Member.
  • Assist in the Safety Department Business Continuity planning and documentation process.
  • Assist with Safety Training.
  • Assist with Safety Promotion.

Education/Experience
  • Three years of experience with data mining, analysis, trending and reporting required.
  • Three years of experience with systems administration required.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Internet courseware development tools, and e-mail required.
  • Experience in flight operation performance data, statistical and risk analysis preferred.
  • One-to-three years related experience Aviation Flight Operations, Aviation Safety Programs or Airline Operations experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
  • Web-based communication experience required.
  • Able to balance competing demands with producing quality results in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Experience in a Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement strategies preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and logical aptitude to work with complex regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to act as an advocate for change.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to maintain information confidentiality.
  • Strong ability to work in a team environment and to help others assimilate into the team.
