Job Summary:
Provides pre-hospital emergency medical services at the paramedic level, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support, in accordance with the protocols of the Fox Valley Regional Paramedic Plan. maintains ambulance and equipment in a state of readiness at all times. Also performs various assigned duties within the hospital, i.e. duties associated with the Lifeline Program, technical procedures for Emergency Department patients or inpatients, and/or selected Unit clerk duties.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Completed EMT-Paramedic Training Program at a Technical college (or equivalent training facility). Current licensure by the State of Wisconsin as an EMT-Paramedic. Current ACLS and BLS certification per American Heart Association Standards. Clinical experience as provided in paramedic training program required. One year work experience as a full-time paramedic preferred. Must obtain skills to use WARDS (Wisconsin Ambulance Run Data System) within 60 days of employment. Basic computer skills required.
MAXIMUM 15 MINUTE RESPONSE TIME TO Calumet MEDICAL CENTER IS REQUIRED (call room is available). MUST BE AVAILABLE SEVERAL TIMES A MONTHS (12-24 HR SHIFTS) AND BE ABLE TO FILL IN WHEN FULL-TIME STAFF IS NOT AVAILABLE.
May consider EMT with IV experience.
