Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Work with supporting IT team members (applications, security, database, network, server, etc.) as well as with business units to understand the technical/business functionality of IT applications to develop technical training materials.
  • Work with project teams to understand training needs and requirements to effectively deliver training programs (including new capabilities, system enhancements, content, and skill gaps).
  • Manage and maintain IT training content via appropriate channel(s) to help ensure training material meets business needs.
  • Establish effective relationships throughout the organization, both within IT and across business unites/customers/stakeholders to identify and address gaps in user training.
  • Produce effective training presentations, tutorials, and lesson plans using multiple different media formats suitable to course audience.
  • Create, review, and update training materials and documentation based on user feedback, classroom surveys, IT version updates, and IT support tickets.
  • Facilitate training for end users through a variety of mediums, which may include classroom settings, one-on-one, and online methods.
  • Establish and monitor overall training delivery process and programs for continuous improvement.
  • Remain knowledgeable about the IT applications and business strategies as related to training material.
  • Research and make recommendations on current view of best practices for deploying learning strategies more effectively.
  • Maintain, coordinate, and communicate training schedules with end users and stakeholders.
  • Provide user training support with IT product launches and go-lives.
  • Travel to business locations to conduct training as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong customer service abilities.
  • Prior experience working with or supporting the Information Technology training function.
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization both oral and written. Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
  • Strong aptitude for both business and technical perspectives.
  • Experience creating documentation for all levels of the organization.
  • Experience establishing and applying training methodology and tools in a consistent and effective manner.
  • Track record of building and delivering training plans, concepts, processes, techniques and standards based on best practices.
  • Excellent influencing skills and ability to integrate across IT, businesses, and other functions.

Education, Training, and Licenses:
  • Certification(s) in area of specialty is a plus.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the field or related area.
