Job Details:
Valuation Actuary (ACE American Insurance Company (Chubb)), (Jersey City, NJ): Analysis and reporting of risk components on variable annuity and other life reinsurance business through development and maintenance of actuarial reporting models (20%); Reviewing results of stochastic simulation models and providing guidance on running and updating stochastic modeling and economic scenario generators as per the actuarial guidelines (20%); Reviewing results and downstream analytic reports of production valuation models before delivering to senior management (20%); Supporting actuarial analysis of other aspects of the life reinsurance business including collateral management, local statutory filings, internal and external audits, hedging, experience studies, sensitivity testing, and other related functions (30%); and Supporting the valuation of Chubb Life global businesses by coordinating results review at country level for all life businesses, preparing LDTI results review package for senior management and establishing SOX controls for central processes (10%). Must have the following skills and experience in order to perform the above-mentioned tasks: Expertise with actuarial modeling software; Proficiency in Excel for statistical analysis, Access and Word; Knowledge of Risk Agility FM and economic scenario generators; Knowledge of programming languages including Visual Basic and SQL; Experience with US GAAP – LDTI; Experience presenting and explaining complex actuarial concepts to non-technical audiences; and Experience managing actuarial projects and related resources. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or related field and at least 2 years of experience as an Actuary or related occupation. Requires certification as an Associate of the Society of Actuaries.
Hybrid option to work from home available - 3 days per week in office.
Salary: $142,000 - $180,000/year.
