Marketing Director

Description:
The American Contract Bridge League, a not-for-profit North American membership organization seeks s top level executive who performs functions to direct, administer and coordinate corporate activities in accordance with policies, goals and objectives established by the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors. Assist in developing strategic short and long range plans that cover company, marketing and growth. Implements the strategic and tactical marketing plans for the organization. Assures strategies are consistent with overall objectives for the organization. Monitors and evaluates programs and expenditures. Directs, monitors and evaluates market research programs. Selects, develops and supervises staff. Establishes priorities, allocates funds and determines project direction. Knowledgeable of market research and marketing strategies. Ability to manage programs and outsourced professionals.

Major Responsibilities:
1. Use the most efficient and effective marketing methods available to develop the broad-based aspects of growing the ACBL membership over a continuous and long-term period of time.
2. Identify ACBL membership to a larger segment of the total bridge-playing population of North America.
3. Work with all departments within ACBL to accomplish the primary responsibilities and objectives of complete organization.
4. Serve on committees as warranted (Marketing Team, etc.).
5. Must be able to do periodic reports for Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors when warranted.

Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related area with five (5) years progressively responsible marketing positions. Preference given to candidates with knowledge of the game of Bridge.
