Abbott in Santa Clara, CA seeks qualified Sr SW Eng. Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop & verify system SW. Bachelors or foreign equiv in Comp Sci/Eng, SW Eng or in rltd fld of study w/ min. 1 yr of pro exp in: (i) applying knowledge of programming languages, incl JavaScript, HTML & CSS to develop high performance, scalable SW architecture, apps & SW platform infrastructure; (ii) executing all stages of Agile Scrum-based SW development lifecycle; (iii) using Object Oriented Programming; (iv) maintaining app programs thru bug tracking and version source control tools; (v) planning, conducting, and technically directing projects of subsystems, integrating subsystems & components in total systems designs & developing specs from customer requirement; (vi) providing effort & timeline estimates for SW functionally & assessing areas impacted by new features requests to determine feasibility & approaches to accommodating new capabilities; & (vii) serving as tech expert & providing tech guidance to Jr engineers, incl mentoring on SW systems app development & architecture development. An EOE. 40 hrs/wk. $146,307 - $173,300/year.
