Abbott Labs in Lake County, IL seeks qualified Sr. WAN Engineer. Resp for solution design, implementation & operational support of global Wide Area Network (WAN) services. Bachelors or foreign academic equiv in Comp Science, Info Systems, Telecomms or a closely rltd fld of study w/ min. 5 yrs of related progressive, pro exp. Must possess academic or industrial background in: (i) Networking, Routing, Switching, Software Define WAN (SD-WAN) Firewalls,  Load Balancing & Remote Access Connectivity Solutions (Cisco AnyConnect); (ii) protocols & technologies s/a EIGRP, OSFP, BGP, MPLS, STP, HSRP & VPN; (iii) Cisco ASA, Firewalls, F5 Load Balancer (GTM & LTM) & Cisco Wireless; & (iv) networking, incl expertise in switching, routing, directory services & TCP/IP fundamentals. Will accept educational equivalency evaluation prepared by a qualified evaluation service or in accordance w/ 8 CFR § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(D). Employer will accept any suitable combo of education, training, or exp. An EOE. 40 hrs/wk. $113,901 - $149,300/year.
