Abbott seeks qualified Manager, Procurement in Chicago, IL. Plan, direct & monitor all purchasing activities for goods, materials, supplies & services organization buys meet standards of price, quality, timing & reliability of supply. Bachelors or foreign equiv in Engineering, Science, Business, Finance, Math or in rltd fld of study w/ min. 8 yrs of progressive pro procurement, supply chain, or marketing exp. In addition, position requires min. 5 yrs of Procurement &/or deep Category exp in: (i) identifying critical business requirements & providing operations, marketing, sourcing & procurement services; (ii) developing & implementing procurement plans & strategies to support business needs as it pertains to marketing, incl contract language, service terms & rate negotiations; & (iii) managing supplier relationships, incl contract language review, face-to-face & virtual negotiations, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) & Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP) & Request for Quotation (RFQ) execution; & (iv) utilizing software tools, incl spend mgmt, sourcing & contracts software (SAP Ariba or related), project mgmt software, business intelligence software solutions (Power BI or related), data analytics software (Tableau or related) & advanced MS Excel. An EOE. 40 hrs/wk. $176,030 - $194,800/year.
