Job Details:

Abbott seeks qualified Systems Eng V in Alameda, CA. Lead cross functional team in dev of new med device products & solutions to complex med device product dev problems. Bachelors or foreign equiv in Biomed Eng or in rltd eng or physical sci fld of study w/ min. 8 yrs of progressive pro product dev exp in eng or physical sci. Alternatively, will accept Masters or foreign equiv w/ min. 6 yrs of progressive pro product dev exp in eng or physical sci. Must possess exp in: (i) eng & sci principles & lab skills & conducting system-lvl characterizations/verifications of complex electromech systems; (ii) collecting, organizing, analyzing & documenting test results for defined development process consistent w/ ISO & FDA design ctrl standards or requirements, incl ISOs 13485/60601/14971/62304/62366 & CFR Part 11; (iii) 1 or more of following: Electro-mech, software, math, chem or biochem techs as they pertain to design, integration, eval & commercialization of diagnostic systems. Employer will accept any suitable combo of education, training, or exp. An EOE. 40 hrs/wk. $150,571 - $224,000/year.
