The Roanoke Higher Education Authority is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia constituted as a public body that operates the Roanoke Higher Education Center. Located in Roanoke, Virginia the Center is currently comprised of 14 member colleges, universities and workforce training organizations that expand educational opportunity in the Roanoke Region of Virginia through degree, certificate, and other workforce training and development programs offered by its members. The Center’s members currently offer more than 300 programs that range from the GED to the PhD. Qualified institutions and organizations hold membership in the Center by virtue of lease agreements that include office, classroom, and laboratory space in the Center facilities.
