Black Hills Area Habitat for Humanity
Black Hills Area Habitat for Humanity (BHAHFH) is a nonprofit Christian organization dedicated to eliminating poverty housing. Habitat for Humanity brings people with resources and people in need together to build simple, decent, affordable houses. BHAHFH homes are sold at an affordable level to qualifying families who contribute 250 hours of sweat equity per adult, which goes toward their down payment. Mortgage payments pay forward for the construction of more Habitat homes in the Black Hills. BHAHFH has built over 80 homes in the Black Hills area since 1990. BHAHFH’s ReStore Outlet is open to the public at 610 E. Omaha, Rapid City, Tuesday through Saturday 9am – 5pm and 2915 E. Colorado Blvd., Spearfish, Thursday through Saturday 9am – 5pm. Funds raised through items donated and sold at the ReStore Outlet help to build additional homes in the Black Hills area. Black Hills Area Habitat for Humanity is a United Way member agency.
